Here are the words to the songs I like best to sing from this album. I included the basic arrangements, and left out the parts when the arrangements started getting fancy, and left out the songs I'm not interesting in singing.

I included the words just as they are sung because it is confusing to read words different from the music. Everybody uses their right to be creative, and almost always each song book and recording use slightly different lyrics. So for now in my small library, each CD will have its own set of lyrics, and each song circle will have its own set of lyrics because each community has its own version of the best lyrics.

Snake Woman (track 5)

Written by Starhawk © 1987

Snake woman shedding her skin (repeat),
shedding, shedding, shedding her skin (repeat).
(repeat each 2x)
Bird woman taking flight...
Star woman shining bright...
Moon woman riding the night...
Blossom woman opening wide...
Snake woman shedding her skin...

Additional verses from "Circle of Song" page 104
Rain Woman soaking the Earth...
Tree Woman rooted in the Earth...
Tree Woman touching the core...

Air Moves Us (track 13)

Written by Cathleen Shell, Cybele, Moonsea and Prune © 1987

Air moves us, Fire transforms us
Water shapes us, Earth heals us
And the balance of the wheel goes round and round
And the balance of the wheel goes round.

We All Come From the Goddess/Hoof and Horn (track 15)

Written by Z. Budapest ©

Written by Ian Corrigan ©

We all come from the Goddess
And to her we shall return
Like a drop of rain
flowing to the ocean

Hoof and horn, hoof and horn
All that dies shall be reborn
Corn and grain, corn and grain
All that falls shall rise again

Dance suggestions are in "Circle of Song" on pages 131 and 164

We are the flow (track 17)

Written by Shekhinah Mountainwater © 1987

We are the flow, we are the ebb.
We are the weavers, we are the web.

Additional verses from "Circle of Song" page 110
We are the weavers, we are the web.
We are the spiders, we are the thread.

We are the spiders, we are the thread.
We are the witches back from the dead!
